Stored Product Pests

Moths and beetles make up the majority of the stored product pests found in residential, commercial, industrial and food handling/processing buildings. Stored product pest can damage and infest a wide variety of stored products including grains, flour, sugar, pastas and garments. Moths range in size from 1/4 to 5/8 inches in length and beetles can be 1/16 to 3/8 inches in length. There are several common species of stored product pests. Cigarette beetles, drugstore beetles, saw-toothed grain beetles, red and confused flour beetles, warehouse beetles, Indian meal moth, angoumois grain moth, warehouse moth, Mediterranean flour moth and rice moths to name a few.
